Jackie McGinness is a Board Certified family nurse practitioner. She has had a diverse background including cardiac and medical intensive care units, family practice offices, research, and walk-in clinics. She will be providing general dermatology to patients in the Metro East area as her and her husband open their practice. She is married to Dr Jamie McGinness, and the two of them have been married for 12 years.

She obtained her Bachelors of Nursing degree, with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. While working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit as charge nurse at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville), she worked toward her Master’s degree in Nursing. In 2006 she graduated with her Master’s of Science in nursing, and became a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. She has spent her career treating patients with a compassion that she believes is the foundation to all human interactions.

When she’s not working, (and for the past four years), she has been a full time mother to her and Dr McGinness’s four young children. She is excited to return to work, and fulfill what has always been their dream: to start their own practice and set the bar high for treating patients with excellent, cutting edge medical care, while treating them with compassion as if they were their own family members. She is further strengthened by her faith in Jesus Christ and leans on this as they strive to provide patients with the care they deserve.
