Jackie McGinness, FNP
Jackie McGinness is a Board Certified family nurse practitioner. She has had a diverse background including cardiac and medical intensive care units, family practice offices, research, and walk-in clinics. She will be providing general dermatology to patients in the Metro East area as her and her husband open their practice. She is married to Dr Jamie McGinness, and the two of them have been married since 2005.
She obtained her Bachelors of Nursing degree, with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. While working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit as charge nurse at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville), she worked toward her Master’s degree in Nursing. In 2006 she graduated with her Master’s of Science in nursing, and became a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. She has spent her career treating patients with a compassion that she believes is the foundation to all human interactions.
When she’s not working, she is a full time mother to her and Dr McGinness’s four children. She was excited to start their own practice and has set the bar high for treating patients with excellent, cutting edge medical care, while treating them with compassion as if they were their own family members. She is further strengthened by her faith in Jesus Christ and leans on this as they strive to provide patients with the care they deserve.
